How to make a call

Before you make a call

  • If using a headset:

Placing a call

  1. On Postman Calls, navigate to the Call Dialer screen

  2. Enter the recipient’s phone number

    1. If the recipient is saved in your phone contacts, you can use the Contact Picker to auto-fill their number.

  3. Confirm your audio output method

  4. Tap/click the 'Call' icon to start

The recipient receives the call through their phone’s native calling interface.

During the call

You can:

  • Mute/unmute your microphone

  • Switch audio output device (if available)

  • View the audio output volume on both the caller and recipient end (this will help with troubleshooting, should you face any call quality issues)

  • End the call with the end-call button

Ending the Call

To end the call, tap the end-call (red) button

Call Quality Rating

After every successful call (i.e., lasting more than 5 seconds), Postman Calls will prompt you to rate the call quality.

What to rate on

The quality of the call itself, which might include:

  • Sudden call termination

  • Your/the recipient's inability to hear the other party

  • Choppy, robotic, delayed, muffled, or distorted audio

  • Static/crackling/echoing noises
